FAQ topic
Booking with us
Fees, price matching, operators, deposits, changes and cancellations.
Do you charge booking fees?+
No. You pay the same as booking direct, and for operator packages such as Jet2holidays that is the operator's own price. We only charge administration fees if you change or cancel a booking after it is confirmed, they are capped in our booking conditions, and we tell you before any fee applies, not after. Read more
If you are free to use, how do you make money?+
Commission from the suppliers, the same way high street agents always have. The operator pays us a share of the price you would have paid anyway. On trips we build ourselves, our margin is inside the quoted price. Either way you see one total price, and it is the price you pay. Read more
Why use a travel agent instead of booking online?+
For a simple trip you have done before, you may not need one. Where we add value is judgement: we check the things the booking sites do not show, like which rooms are above the bar, whether the kids' club actually runs in May, and whether the cheap flight time quietly costs you a night of your holiday. You also get one phone number when something goes wrong, held by people who know your booking, instead of a chatbot queue. And because of the trust account and our ATOL, the protection is usually stronger than a pile of separate online bookings. Read more
How does booking work, start to finish?+
You tell us what you are dreaming of, by the enquiry form, a message or a call. We ask a few questions, then send you a written proposal with options, prices, and the drawbacks of each option stated plainly. When you are happy, you pay a deposit, we confirm everything in writing, and the balance is due on the date shown on your confirmation. Before you travel you get your documents and a proper rundown of what to expect. During the trip, we are on the end of the phone. Read more
What is the difference between agent and organiser?+
It decides who your contract is with, so we always state it on your confirmation. When we sell you a Jet2holidays, easyJet holidays or TUI package, we act as agent: your contract is with the operator and their booking conditions set the deposits and cancellation terms. When we build the package ourselves, flights, hotels and transfers combined by us, we are the organiser: your contract is with us under the Package Travel Regulations 2018 and our ATOL 12956 protects it. Part B and Part C of our booking conditions cover the two cases. Read more
Can you book Jet2holidays, TUI and easyJet holidays?+
Yes, all three, at their own prices, plus cruise lines, Disney, golf and ski specialists and others. If the best answer for your trip is a straightforward operator package, that is what we will recommend, and we will say why. If two operators are close on price we will show you both and tell you what separates them. Read more
Do you price match?+
Yes, on a live like-for-like operator package where the holiday, flights, room, board, baggage and booking conditions are identical. We price match supported packages including TUI and Jet2holidays. We also check whether the online price is actually the same trip before matching it. Read more
Can I pay in instalments?+
You pay a deposit to secure the booking and the balance by the date on your confirmation, and between those two points you can pay in as many chunks as you like; plenty of our clients pay something monthly. Every payment sits in the trust account. One caveat: some things, most often scheduled airline tickets, must be paid in full at booking and are non-refundable from that moment. We always tell you which parts of your trip that applies to before you commit. Read more
What if I need to cancel?+
Tell us in writing as soon as you can, because charges rise as departure gets closer. What you get back depends on the booking: operator packages follow the operator's cancellation scale, and packages we organise follow the scale in our booking conditions, where non-refundable flights are the biggest factor. This is the scenario travel insurance exists for: if the reason you are cancelling is one your policy covers, the cancellation charge is usually claimable. Read more
What if I want to change my booking?+
Ask us and we will find out what is possible; changes depend on the suppliers agreeing. You pay whatever the supplier charges plus any fare difference, and our administration fee where one applies, told to you before we make the change. Worth knowing in advance: name corrections are usually cheap or free if caught early, dates are often changeable at a cost, and issued airline tickets are frequently not changeable at all. The earlier you ask, the more options exist. Read more
