The north
Hanoi came first, Train Street included, then a cruise through Lan Ha Bay next door to Ha Long, with kayaking at sunset. From Hanoi we went up to Sa Pa and took the cable car to the top of Fansipan, at 3,143 metres the highest mountain in Indochina, which is where the photo on our About page was taken.
The middle
Da Nang came next, with an early start for Ba Na Hills before the crowds, then three nights in Hoi An for the old town and its lanterns.
The south
Da Lat brought cooler air and the strange architecture of the Crazy House, Mui Ne the Fairy Stream, and we finished with five days in Ho Chi Minh City.
